What is SuperFabric ®?
SuperFabric® brand material is an ideal solution for cut-resistant gloves, as it protects from both straight edged cuts and variable situations.
The gist of it is through the way the fabric is made – Tiny guard plates provide resistance to tears and slashes like no other material on the market.
Why buy gloves that utilise SuperFabric ®?
Normal cut-resistant gloves are made with what is known as a performance fibre (Kevlar®, Dyneema®, Spectra®) or blend of cut-resistant performance fiber.
While these gloves offer some levels of cut-resistance, they don’t actually prevent hazards from puncturing or penetrating the skin surface.
When a jagged piece of metal, wire, glass, or splinter comes up against a cut-resistant glove fibre, it will find a “window” between the fibre rows and cause a tear.
HexArmor® cut-resistant gloves offer more than just protection from straight edge cut hazards.
They have realised that there are different factors to take into consideration (force, angle, application) that come into play and can affect how a cut hazard will affect the user.
Going Above and Beyond Industry Standards for Cut-Resistance
HexArmor® products, made with SuperFabric® brand materials, offer industry leading cut-resistance, beating both ISEA/ANSI and CE/EN388 Level 5 cut-resistance.
Performance is enhanced through the configuration of tiny guard plates.
Exceeds Industry Standards ISEA/ANSI (ASTM F1790-05) and CE (EN388) Level 5
Shielding effect keeps sharp cut hazards (metal, blades, glass) from slipping between fibres and causing cut injuries
Won’t snag or scratch like typical fibre-based, cut-resistant gloves.
